Free email providers

Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, and other consumer mailbox providers are not disposable by default. They are usually valid for consumer products, but they do not prove employment, company affiliation, or buying intent.

Allow normal consumer signups.

Do not block a person only because they use a free mailbox. Apply stronger checks when the requested action is costly, repeated, automated, or explicitly requires business identity.

Separate identity from deliverability.

A free mailbox can receive mail but does not prove where someone works. Ask for a work address only when company affiliation is genuinely required.

Mainstream free mailbox providers

These are provider classifications, not proof that a specific mailbox exists.

Verify the address, not just the provider.

Use a project API key to check provider type, address quality, role addresses, common typos, and mailbox risk.
